Sightseeing in Easter Island

Tahai Archaeological Complex: Located on the outskirts of Hanga Roa and Ahu consists of three that make up a set of ceremonial altars where they were revered ancestors. It is one of the attractions better restored on the island.

Anakena : Located 30 km from Hanga Roa. It is a beautiful long beach of white sand, palm trees and turquoise waters. This beach is guarded by seven nostalgic moai, with their hats restored. Ahu Tahai

: Refers to a series of altars which is located 1.5 km from Hanga Roa. This is the best restored archeological site which is located near the city. Is formed of three Ahu; Kote Riku north Tahai the center and south Vai Uri, are the foundations of a house boat face down, Hare Paenga, a structure thick stone walls, Hare Maoa.

Ahu Pito Kura
: In this place, 26 km from Hanga Roa, is the largest moai were transported from Rano Raraku, where they elaborated these huge figures. To the side there is a rounded stone that indicates the exact point of the navel of the world.

Ovahe : This beach, located 30 km from Hanga Roa, noted for its red sand at the foot of a cliff of rocks of the same color. Its seabed and fauna make it a beautiful place for snork and other adventure sports .

Beaches in the Atacama Region

Atacama Region known for its large number of beaches and bays, excellent for summer. Caldera, Bahia Inglesa, Puerto Viejo, Barranquilla and Huasco are the most popular places . But there is also a number of secluded beaches, virgin, with an inexpressible loneliness. These sites are invited to observe marine life or shoreline. Especially in the Sugarloaf (National Park) can see sea lions, penguins and a wide variety of birds.
